Root & Bloom Garden
In the summer of 2025, we will begin installing LVPPP’s Root & Bloom garden in the lawn in front of the school. Our hope is to transform the front outdoor space into a vibrant, healing, and community-centered environment that fosters social connection and emotional wellbeing for our preschool children and their families.
The goals of this project will be to:
Create a therapeutic garden where children can engage in sensory play, grow plants, experience nature, and develop emotional regulation skills.
Develop a welcoming gathering area with seating and shade to foster family connections and peer support.
Establish a transition space where children and families can decompress before and after school, reducing stress and anxiety during times of transition.
Enhance the school’s entrance and visibility, reinforcing LVPPP’s commitment to play-based learning and whole-person education.
We anticipate completion by Spring 2026.

Special Thanks
This garden installation will be made possible by a number of community partners - with special thanks to a generous grant from Tri-City Mental Health, ongoing partnership with Ramona Avenue Christian Church, and school garden expertise from Sustainable Claremont.
