Each year in April, our LVPPP members seek interest from those in our school community who are interested in being on the 2019-2020 board. The following is a list of our LVPPP parents who have expressed interest in being on the board in the following positions. Enjoy reading a bit about these parents and why they are interested in being on the board. We still have some open positions (included), so if you are interested please let us know! We would love to have you too.
Voting will be held on April 22nd.
President: Molly Tanner (Sophie & Sadie’s mom)
It’s been a pleasure getting to serve as the board president this past year and I look forward to serving everyone again in the next school year. As my oldest daughter Sophie transitions out of Room 3 and into Kindergarten, my youngest daughter Sadie will be starting in Room 2 in the fall. I look forward to bringing all of the knowledge and experience I gained as president this year into the upcoming year. I love helping to grow our LVPPP community, value watching our kids learn and play with one another, and feel excited to market our school to our larger community to start bringing in even more LVPPP families. It’s a privilege to get to serve as your president and I look forward to the new school year ahead!
Vice-President: Caroline Tsai (Ethan & Caden’s mom)
Hi! I'm Caroline and I have two boys, Ethan Lin (currently in Room 3 and heading to Kinder next school year) and Caden Lin (Room 1/2). This is our third year here at LVPPP. I'm currently on the board as VP/Donations. I'm interested in the VP/Scheduler position this coming school year. It'll be a pleasure to continue serving the board for the next school year.
Secretary: Heather Marosi (Joey & Adam’s mom)
My name is Heather Marosi. My oldest son, Joey, has attended LVPPP the last two years on MWF. He will be starting kindergarten in the fall. My youngest son, Adam, is 2 years old and will begin attending LVPPP in the fall on MWF. I am interested in the position of Secretary because I am eager to more actively engage with and serve the school. I have experience performing many of the duties assigned to the role of Secretary, and enjoy keeping teams organized and people informed. I love working in teams and am excited about the opportunity to work with the other board members.
Marketing Co-Chairs: Erin Bennett (Elena’s mom) & Alisa Economou (Spencer’s mom)
I'm Erin Bennett and my daughter Elena is in Room 2, MWF.
This has been my 2nd year at the Board, serving as the Social Media and Outreach Coordinator. Other than posting on our social media sites, I've worked on the school website and created marketing materials for various school events such as the Open House, Glendora Preschool Expo, and the San Dimas Holiday Extravaganza.
I would like to continue serving our school as a Marketing co-chair next school year. I will continue on revamping our school website and managing our social media accounts. I will also be working on an email marketing strategy to reach out to our alumni and prospective families.
It has been a great pleasure being part of our wonderful community and I look forward to another great year at LVPPP.
I would like to be considered for the marketing position on the board at LVPPP. I would like the opportunity to help market the wonderful school. I have experience in marketing our family business. I think I would be a great addition to the board.
Events Chair: Erica Barrera (Sawyer & Wyatt’s mom)
Hi! My name is Erica and my son Sawyer has been with Lvppp for 2 years and we can’t wait for our little one Wyatt to start attending LVPPP next Summer. LVPPP has been such a great influence on Sawyer and he has grown so much since his very first day. He will be in Ms. Norma’s class again next year as his birthday misses the cut off. The reasons I Love LVPPP is that they are very nurturing, kind and love our kids. They let them be kids and teach them through play. I am interested in the Events board position for our school. While I don’t have any formal training in planning events I do love to throw a good party. 😜😉 I can bring in some fresh ideas to the table to add to the great traditions we already have. I won’t lie I may need a little bit of guidance and sometimes some help planning. But with all these awesome hands on parents I know we can get the job done. Well that’s about it. Hope you enjoyed.
Donations: Mikah Wright (Beatrice’s mom)
Hi! My name is Mikah Wright, and my daughter Beatrice is in room 2 on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I’m interested in becoming the Donations Chair for the 2019-2020 school year because I love LVPPP and I’d like to take a more active role in growing and supporting the amazing community here. My background is in writing and editing, which should prove useful for corresponding with local businesses and organizations to solicit donations for raffle items and school supplies. I’m looking forward to hopefully serving you all as Donations Chair next fall!
Committee Job Coordinator: Open!
CCPPNS Representative: Emil Nguyen (Clementine’s dad)
Being part of CCPPNS is a great opportunity to be part of the overall larger umbrella of co-op driven preschools. I get to meet great parents that all have different ideas and opinions on how to make a co-op successful and inclusive.
