Activities
When we start our daily jobs, there are two that need a parent's help.

Share Bag :  Please limit your child to 2 items. They will get the opportunity to share these items with the class during circle time. Please--no guns or weapons of any kind.

Dog Bag :   This is a stuffed dog that goes home with your child and comes back the next time they come to class. If they are absent, please don't worry about returning it;  I have extras. Inside the bag is a composition book. Your child can draw a picture of what they did with the dog. Parents can write about what the dog did and I will read it at circle time. I've had parents put photos of their child and the dog in the book, and that is fine too. This is just a tool I use to get the student excited to talk at circle time.
Birthdays:   We love to celebrate your child's birthday at school. I will provide a birthday crown and we will light candles and sing at snack time. You may provide a special snack for our class that day. We've had everything from sushi to mashed potatoes. You can bring something as simple as your child's favorite crackers or as elaborate as you want by bringing drinks, food, and special napkins. Please remember that I can't let you bring cupcakes or candy into the class. I will need to know about all snacks in advance. You can schedule the day with me and I will let Mrs. Heller know what you are bringing. If your child has a summer birthday we can celebrate early or an un-birthday, whatever works better for you.

Absence :  If your child is staying home, please leave a message in the office. If you know in advance that they are going to be gone, please let me know. (If we're working on something special, I can plan accordingly.)
Policies
Room 2
Room 2 is for children who will turn 3 by December 2nd.  The students continue to work on expressing themselves, both verbally and artistically.  We encourage the children to be hands-on in their learning, and provide activites that teach through tactile experience.
