Classes:
Classes are held from 9 a.m. to noon.
Nutritious snacks are provided each day.
There are two sessions: Monday/Wednesday/Friday or Tuesday/Thursday.
Extended day is held from noon to 2 p.m., Mon.-Thurs., provided enough students sign up and pay a nominal fee.
Stepping Stones (additional pre-K readiness) is from noon to 2 p.m., Mon.-Thurs. for Room 3 students for an extra monthly fee.

La Verne Parent Participation Preschool was established as a parent participation nursery school in Claremont in 1971.  In 1974, the school was moved to La Verne, and the name was changed to Los Chiquitos.  In 1983, the general membership voted to change the name of the school to La Verne Parent Participation Preschool.  The name was chosen to reflect the co-op tradition and location of the school.

We are a non-profit, non-discriminatory parent organization owned and operated by member families. 
The Board, composed of elected parent members, is generally responsible for the operation of the school; major policy changes are approved by a quorum of member families.  Each family is encouraged to participate and contribute as much as they are able beyond the basic requirements.
Classrooms:
Room 1 is for children 2 to 3 years of age.  There are ten spaces in the class.
Room 2 is for children 3 to 4 years of age.  There are twelve spaces in the class.
Room 3 is for children 4 to 5 years of age.  There are twelve spaces in the class.
                 
Parent participation:
    * classroom assistant (two to three times per month)
    * fundraising
    * cleaning/maintenance days  (8 hours per year)
    * parent education meetings
    * special event (one event per year)
    * committee jobs (hospitality, laundry, room parent, etc.)

Non-refundable registration fee: $55
One month tuition deposit.
