| Grab an apron from the kitchen to wear for the day to protect your clothes. Move the extended day sign up board and sign in/ out table outside the door of room 1. Grab a plastic bag from the kitchen and a rake from the cleaning shed and check the sand for cat poop. Throw away the bag in the outside trash can. Check all play houses and play structures for spiders and spider webs. Help the teacher with any preparations she may have for the day's activities. When other children arrive, help the teacher with any crying kids. During circle time help guide wandering children to the rug. Help keep disruptions to a minimum. During snack time help pass out napkins, cups and snack and encourage the children ti use their manners(saying 'please' and 'thank you'). While the Children have free choice in the classroom help keep the classroom under control by not letting the children dump toys out and helping them clean up their area before moving to a different center. At the end of the day around 11:40 all the sand toys, shovels, ropes and swings need to be put away and at 12:00 the classroom needs to be cleaned. |
